The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup has prepared the above proposed amendment to Local Planning Scheme No. 7 for the purpose of:

The purpose of this amendment is to amend the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup Local Planning Scheme No. 7 to implement the State Government's planning reforms for short-term rental accommodation and tourism accommodation.

The amendment introduces the new deemed land use classes for Hosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation and Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation, introduces the model Tourist and Visitor Accommodation land use class, removes superseded accommodation-related land use definitions, updates associated scheme provisions, amends Schedule A dwelling approval requirements, and aligns Home Occupation permissibility with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

The amendment is considered a Standard Amendment under Regulation 35(2) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 as it is broadly consistent with the Model Provisions and removes provisions that have been superseded by the Deemed Provisions.

The amendment documents are available for inspection during normal office hours at the Shire Administration Office (1 Bentley Street, Donnybrook), and on the Shire's website (see attachments on this page).

Submissions on the proposed amendment may be made in writing and should include the amendment number, the name and address of the person making the submission and details of the submission.
