Following the Storm event on 30 May to 1 June 2026 – the WA Day long weekend – our Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) wants to know how we can better support our community during future emergencies.

The LEMC’s purpose is to:

• Advise and assist the Shire in ensuring that local emergency management arrangements are established for the district
• Liaise with public authorities and persons in the development, review, and testing of local emergency management arrangements
• Carry out other emergency management arrangements as directed by the State Emergency Management Committee or prescribed by regulations
