We all know someone who always says, "I'll help" - and now it's our turn to give back.
From volunteering efforts, community events and local clubs to acts of kindness behind the scenes, it's the people who make the magic happen that help shape the place we proudly call home. Celebrate their contribution by nominating them for the 2027 Community Citizen of the Year Awards!
The Community Citizen of the Year Awards, presented by Auspire - Australia Day Council WA, are an opportunity to recognise outstanding individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to their local communities during the past year, or those who have given exceptional service over a sustained period.
These contributions can take many forms, including (but not limited to) education, health, fundraising, voluntary services, business, employment, sport, arts, environment, social inclusion, or any other area that contributes to the betterment of the community.
Nominate someone who goes above and beyond
If you know someone who makes a real difference in the community, you can nominate them for one of these categories:
- Community Citizen of the Year Award
- Senior Community Citizen of the Year Award
- Young Community Citizen of the Year Award
- Active Citizenship Award (group or event)
Nominations close 31 October 2026, with award recipients to be announced on Australia Day 2027.
