Day 2 of Get Ready Week focuses on Being Aware 👀
Knowing the Fire Danger Rating (FDR) for your area can help you make informed decisions before a bushfire starts. The higher the rating, the more dangerous a fire is expected to be and the earlier you may need to put your bushfire plan into action.
🟢 MODERATE – Plan and prepare
🟡 HIGH – Be ready to act
🟠EXTREME – Take action now to protect yourself and your family
🔴 CATASTROPHIC – For your survival, leave bushfire risk areas
We encourage you to take a few seconds to check today's Fire Danger Rating and make sure you know what it means for you. Being aware of today's conditions could make all the difference tomorrow.
✅ Check the FDR for your area and anywhere you plan to travel
✅ Review your bushfire plan and make sure it matches the conditions
✅ Stay informed through Emergency WA and official emergency information
