Community Information: Tree Maintenance Works - Station Square, Donnybrook

Published on Wednesday, 29 July 2026 at 9:00:00 AM

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup wishes to advise the community that scheduled tree maintenance works will be undertaken at the Apple Fun Park and Station Square, Donnybrook, on Wednesday 29 July 2026.

Contractors will commence works from approximately 7:30am, with the majority of maintenance expected to be completed throughout the day.

To ensure the safety of park users and workers, some minor disruptions may occur during the works:

  • The Apple Fun Park will remain open and accessible, however movement through some sections may be temporarily restricted while works are underway.
  • Visitors will still be able to enter and exit the park via the gates located near the public toilets.
  • Parking bays along Collins Street will be temporarily closed to allow safe access for contractor vehicles and equipment and to minimise damage to surrounding turf areas.

The maintenance works will include:

  • Canopy reduction to improve tree structure and clearance
  • Formative pruning to encourage healthy growth and development
  • Removal of dead, damaged or potentially hazardous limbs

Shire staff will be in attendance throughout the works to assist with site management, monitor public safety and provide information to park users as required.

These works are an important part of maintaining the health, safety and appearance of trees within the park precinct and will help ensure the area remains safe and enjoyable for visitors heading into the peak season.

We thank the community for its patience and cooperation while these works are completed.
