The following community update is from Talison Lithium

As part of Talison’s expanded environmental monitoring program, temporary air monitoring equipment will be installed in Balingup.

The purpose of this equipment is to measure regional background dust levels. These results will be compared with monitoring data collected within 10 kilometres of the Greenbushes Lithium Mine.

This work supports Talison’s broader long-term Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA), which is using air monitoring and the collection of water, soil and vegetation samples within a 10 km radius to better understand environmental conditions and potential exposure pathways.
