The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup is seeking enthusiastic and qualified Swim Teachers to join our team at the Donnybrook Recreation Centre.

About the Role

As a Swim Teacher, you will deliver structured swimming and water safety lessons, ensuring a safe, positive and engaging experience for all participants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering swimming lessons in line with recognised teaching programs (e.g. RLSSWA)

• Supervising and ensuring the safety of all participants in accordance with legislation and centre procedures

• Creating a fun, inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Assessing swimmer progress and maintaining accurate lesson records

• Working collaboratively with the Aquatics team to continuously improve the program

• Maintaining equipment and adhering to health and safety requirements

About You

You will be confident in the water, passionate about teaching and enjoy working with people of all ages.

You will bring:

• A positive, friendly and engaging approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to deliver high-quality, structured lessons

• A genuine interest in aquatic education and safety

Essential Requirements

• Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety – Requirement

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Working with Children Check

• Australian Citizen or Permanent resident

• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
