PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: UPPER CAPEL ROAD, BRAZIER.

Notice is hereby given under the Local Government Act 1995, Part 3, Division 3, Subdivision 5, that the Shire will be temporarily closing (wholly for a period exceeding 4 weeks) a portion of Upper Capel Road to through traffic from the 13 November 2023 to the 31 May 2024.

The closure is required to facilitate Main Roads Western Australia (on behalf of Shire of Donnybrook) to commence the replacement of Bridge 3275 on Upper Capel Road at SLK 18.28 (near Claymore Road Intersection).

The closure will be at this Bridge site for up to 6 months. Upper Capel Road will still remain open up to both sides of the bridge, however there will be no access across the bridge.

An 11km traffic management signed detour, via Ryalls Road is available to bypass the works and reconnect with Upper Capel Road, however, please be aware that this is a gravel road and that its condition can vary. RAV vehicles will need to use alternative RAV approved routes.

Please note, at this stage, the dates provided are indicative only. The Shire invites any comments in writing regarding the proposed temporary road closure prior to Tuesday 31 October 2023.
