Community Notice: Changes to Tip Pass Allocations

From 1 July 2025, the Balingup Waste Transfer Station has been operating under new open hours. Your current 24-25 Tip Pass (expiring 30 Sept. 2025) still shows the old hours. Updated hours will be included on the passes sent with your next rates notice.

Please be aware that there are changes to Tip Pass allocations for the 25-26 period, which will contribute towards supporting more sustainable and responsible waste management practices. NOTE: These changes do not affect Tip Pass allocations issued for 24-25 period (expiring 30 Sept. 2025)

What’s changing?

  • Properties without kerbside collection will receive 35 passes (previously 52).
  • Properties with kerbside collection will receive 11 passes (previously 16).

Why are we making this change?

These changes align services with sustainable and responsible practices. They aim to:

  • Encourage efficient use of waste facilities.
  • Reduce free passes to help offset costs.
  • Support long-term waste service sustainability as costs rise and contractors remain limited.
