Can I attend to look after my child/young person?
'Brook Fest is an event for young people, by young people, and takes place during national Youth Week WA (10-17 April), however parents, guardians and caregivers are more than welcome to attend to look after on their child/young person!
Please note that the free soft drink is an option for the young people attending the event and the amount of soft drinks available are limited. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
What is Youth Week WA?
The State Government recognises the enormous contribution that young people make to the social, cultural and economic life in Western Australia. Youth Week WA is an opportunity to recognise these valued contributions and provide opportunities for young people to connect across the State.
Youth Week WA aims to:
- provide young people with opportunities to express ideas, raise important issues, make decisions and showcase their talents and contributions
- give the wider community an opportunity to listen to young people and celebrate their positive contributions; and
- raise awareness about issues of concern to young people.
The theme for Youth Week WA 2025 is ‘Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment’ and is centred on young people’s connection with community, each other and themselves. The theme speaks to Youth Week WA as a ‘patchwork’ of contributions young people make, no matter how small, that when sewn together from the ‘rich tapestry’ of Western Australia.
The theme was decided by 13 diverse young people that make up the Youth Week WA Planning Committee.
