The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited:
Property: Lot 103 (107) Irishtown Road, Donnybrook
Proposal Details: Workforce Accommodation
The applicant proposes to establish workforce accommodation to support the seasonal labour needs of existing farming operations. The facility is intended to accommodate up to 12 workers during peak periods, with an expected average of around 8 workers at other times. As part of the proposal, the applicant seeks to strategically locate the accommodation to minimise disruption to farm activities, protect high-value agricultural land, and maintain food safety standards consistent with Freshcare accreditation.
As the proposed land use is not specifically listed in the Zoning Table of the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme No. 7, the application is classified as a complex application under the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

Submissions may be made on the proposal in the period ending on 11 September 2025, and must be submitted in writing via any of the following methods on or before that day.
