About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Works & Services, this permanent full-time position (76 hours per fortnight) is responsible for supervising employees and contractors involved in the maintenance, renewal and construction of Shire infrastructure. The role ensures works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Shire policies, procedures and WHS requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising, coordinating and leading civil construction and maintenance works
• Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and Shire policies
• Assisting with staff training, mentoring and onboarding
• Supporting budgeting, procurement, reporting and asset management planning
• Completing administrative duties including timesheets, reporting and safety documentation

About You

You will have:

• 4–5 years' experience supervising civil construction and maintenance works, including final trim grading
• Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and risk management
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff
• Good communication, customer service and computer skills
• HR Driver's Licence and relevant plant tickets
• Construction White Card and current First Aid certificate
