COUNCIL MEETINGS GO LIVE

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup will commence live streaming and video recording of Council meetings from the September 28 Ordinary Meeting of Council. 

Responding to an Electors Motion from the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Electors requesting the Shire initiate live streaming of Council meetings, the Shire undertook investigation of the requirements to enable high-quality transmission of sound and a professional visual system. 

Shire President Leanne Wringe said “There were some hurdles to overcome in the form of IT infrastructure and understanding potential legal ramifications, however, Shire staff have worked to overcome the obstacles to deliver a professional system”.

Due to the nature of Council meetings, confidential sections of a meeting will not be available for viewing.

Interested community members can access the live stream via the Shire YouTube channel - a link will be posted on the Shire website and Shire Facebook page on the day of each Council Meeting.

The video recording of Council Meetings will be published on the Shire’s website no later than the publishing of the Unconfirmed Minutes on the Shire website.
