CALL FOR COMMENT

The Shire has prepared a draft Local Planning Strategy to guide how our community will grow and develop over the next 15 years. The draft Strategy aims to reflect the community’s vision for the future, as expressed in the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan 2032.

All feedback received will be considered and proposed modifications presented back to the Council and the WAPC for final endorsement - click here to learn more.

Vale Brian Piesse

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup extends its condolences to the Piesse family, following Brian’s passing on Wednesday 8 February 2023.

Brian was the Shire President at the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup between 2017-2021, and served on the Council of the Shire of Capel between 2003-2007.

In addition to his service to local government and local communities, Brian served on numerous public and private sector Boards and Committees. Brian’s love of a good debate and the camaraderie of a professional team will be etched in the memory of those who worked alongside him.

Brian leaves behind his beloved wife, Lucille, two daughters and four grand children.
