Home Delivery Service
The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup has introduced a free home delivery service for residents who are unable to travel to the library because of illness, age or disability. The service is also available to Tuia Lodge and the Donnybrook Hospital.
Specifically requested titles can be delivered in a variety of formats, including books (fiction and non-fiction in normal and large print), audiobooks/e-books/e-audio, magazines, music CDs, DVDs and Navigator. Navigator is a digital device that reads books out loud. This device is specifically designed for those who have poor or failing eyesight.
When you join the Home Delivery Service, a staff member from the library will talk to you to find out what your interests are and what sort of material you would prefer, including specific titles and authors of books you may wish to borrow.
As a Home Delivery Service member you will receive a delivery from the library every two weeks. For more information, please call the Donnybrook Library on (08) 9732 4307.
South West Library Consortia Loans
The One Library Network is the first of its kind in Western Australia, and connects 24 libraries in 12 Shires in the South West, giving greater access to patrons.
With the One Library Network, items can easily be requested by yourself online or by library staff. Patrons can borrow and return books at any of the libraries in the One Library system. You current library card can be used at any of the following libraries:
Australind, Balingup, Binningup, Boddington, Boyanup, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Bunbury, Busselton, Capel, Dalyellup, Dardanup, Donnybrook, Dunsborough, Eaton, Harvey, Manjimup, Nannup, Northcliffe, Pemberton, Walpole, Waroona, Withers and Yarloop.

You can browse both the Shire’s library collection, and those of other libraries in the South West. Donnybrook Balingup Library Services Catalogue
The State Library works through a State-wide network of public libraries managed by local government to provide public library collections of catalogued books and other materials and facilitate the provision of a wide range of information services.
The partnership between State and local governments and other participating bodies is maintained and developed through consultation, joint decision-making, and agreed on standards. A range of online training programs is provided to improve the scope and level of services offered by public libraries.

Inter-Library Loans
Public Library Services in WA have a combined stock of more than two million items. Requests to borrow items from this stock can be made through your local library, subject to regulations recently implemented by the State Library. These regulations restrict the borrowing of books that are less than 12 months old.
