Western Power : Upcoming Works

Published on Thursday, 14 November 2019 at 3:51:14 PM

Western Power has a large program of work planned in the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup, from November 2019 to January 2020 to maintain their infrastructure and ensure power reliability.

During this time around 140 poles and 4km of overhead wires will be replaced. The work will be undertaken by the crews from the Vasse and Bridgetown depots and there are several power outages scheduled. From November 2019 to January 2020 works will be concentrated in Donnybrook, Balingup and Thomson Brook.

In order to complete the work safely, the work needs to be carried out on de-energised lines. This means that power outages will be required and given the volume of work, unfortunately some customers will be impacted by multiple outages. All affected customers will be notified (letters and emails) of upcoming outages and we will also post information on social media.

Please see below maps of areas of work. Green dots indicate pole replacements and the peach lines represent reconductoring.
