Scribblers Festival’s Golden Feather Hunt Returns to Donnybrook Community Library!

  • After a two-year hiatus, Scribblers Festival's Golden Feather Hunt returns with five Golden Feathers hidden between the pages of books at local libraries across Western Australia, Spanning all the way from the Great Southern to the Kimberley.
  • From Thursday, 18 March until Friday, 7 May 2021, over 15,000 feather-shaped bookmarks will be hidden in children’s and young adult books in 130 participating libraries.
  • The Golden Feather Hunt encourages young people to explore their library bookshelves, leveraging the power of their imagination to inspire a love for reading.
  • This year there is a single Sapphire Feather awaiting discovery in each library, plus five Golden, 20 Silver and 15,000 White ‘colour-in’ feathers to be found - all for the chance to win special prizes, including an iPad and VIP Festival experience for Golden Feather finders
  • If you find a feather, let your librarian know, and follow the instructions on the back
  • With 15,000 White Feathers tucked inside books across the State, the Golden Feather Hunt invites children to draw on, colour-in, paint on and decorate their feathered-finds and share photographs of them on social media, tagging @scribblersfest and #goldenfeatherhunt, for the chance to win a Spot Prize.
