Biosecurity Update

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has commenced its annual surveillance programs for animal and plant pests, diseases and weeds.

Many of the programs are targeting environmental pests, and it's important to know what to keep an eye out for. We hope our community can assist in this surveillance by also looking for these pests, and making reports if they see something.

DPIRD asks for "more eyes on the ground" and "in the sky"

"The best biosecurity system is one where everyone plays a role. If you are heading outdoors, play your part by looking out for anything unusual, such as strange bugs, or patches of dead shrubs or trees."
