Local Government is a great career choice. Located in the picturesque South West of WA, the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup offers a progressive and supportive work environment and a magnificent lifestyle surrounded by stunning forests, winding rivers, rolling hills, vineyards and lush orchards.
The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup Works and Services Department are seeking a suitable applicant to join the team in the following position.
RANGER - Part Time (46 hours per fortnight - 6 days)
The ideal candidate will need to have a strong customer service focus in providing accurate and informative advice to the public on Ranger matters plus proactively administer animal and fire requirements throughout the Shire.
The applicant will typically be required to work 6 days per fortnight, which will include one Saturday (6 hrs). The Shire does have flexibility in the days to be worked, however applicants must also be prepared to be rostered for on call after hours duties for a minimum of 4 days (including one weekend) per fortnight. On call and penalty rates will apply.
Candidates seeking greater hours of work are still encouraged to apply, as the Shire has other regular casual work that candidates can be considered for on non-Ranger working days. Applicants who may not hold relevant qualifications but are willing to learn, are also still encouraged to apply.
