Are you creatively inclined, and plan to continue your studies of the arts in years 11 and 12? Would funding help you achieve your creative pursuits? We strongly encourage anyone in the creative/arts space to consider applying for this opportunity!

Frank Arbuthnott was a masterful pianist and violinist with a natural flair for teaching. He instilled in students a sound appreciation for music and encouraged them to develop their personal talents and skills. During the 11 years Frank lived in Donnybrook, he did much to enrich the cultural life of the district. He died unexpectedly on 23 August 1957, just short of his 46th birthday. This scholarship was established as a way to recognise his contribution to the community’s cultural development, whilst assisting artistically talented young people from the district at the same time.

This scholarship is open to students who live in the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup, are in the process of completing year 10, and intend to complete years 11 and 12 at a recognised secondary school/college.
Selection is based on artistic performance across all arts studies (such as visual arts, music or drama), your scholastic performance in year 10, and your general character and disposition.
