WA NDIS is the State Government‘s model of the NDIS. It builds on WA’s long history of individualised services and focuses on community connections, and is also nationally consistent in relation to eligibility, portability and reasonable and necessary supports. WA NDIS supports people with disability to have choice and control over their supports and services, participate in the local community and maintain natural connections such as friendships, neighbours and local community groups.
In WA NDIS, people with disability (including psychosocial disability) and their families and carers work with a Local Coordinator to create a plan for their future based on their individual situation. Through planning, people explore opportunities, identify goals and link with local community, government and mainstream supports and services.
The Shire of Donnybook-Balingup area is part of the Lower South West trial site. For information on the eligibility requirements visit Disability WA
