Southampton Rd Balingup Road Reconstruction Project.
Start Date 22nd November 2021 expected completion 28th January 2022.
Scope of work:
- Demolition
- Road reconstruction & Widen formation
- Drainage
- Concrete kerbs
- 6.2m Sealed pavement
The Shire has secured funding through the South West Regional Road Group grant funding scheme to upgrade Southampton Road to a standard to meet current and future demands.
Every effort has been made to incorporate a design with a focus on safety, with improved site lines, a wider formation and an increased seal width of 6.2m. Works will commence on the 22nd November and run for a total of eight weeks pausing for two weeks over the Christmas holidays, returning from the Christmas break under a four week road closure with completion expected on or around the 28th January. Working hours will be between 7am – 6pm Monday to Friday unless specific tasks require works to be undertaken outside of these times.
The Shire has engaged a local contractor DBCEC who will use their experience and resources to deliver the project on time and to a high standard. If you require further information or assistance while the works are in progress please contact the DBCEC Works Supervisor on the below number.
