Donnybrook Regional Tourism Association (DRTA) is delighted to have achieved Stage One of the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program (ATAP) for the Donnybrook Visitor Centre.

DRTA Chairperson, Ria Hammond said, “this accreditation assures our customers and other industry providers that we are committed to quality business practice and professionalism. “

“As part of our accreditation, we are working to improve our customer relationships which will result in increased repeat business and visitors to the region,” continued Ms Hammond.

Visitors Centre Manager, Ange Pusey explained that “The accreditation process has required the Association to review and formally document our operational and management procedures. It’s been a very useful exercise which will add value and direction to the Visitors Centre.”

Work has commenced on Stage Two (2) of Accreditation. “As an accredited Visitor Information Centre, we are already seeing the benefits with access to Tourism Council of WA training and support, and greater access to grants,” continued Ms Pusey.

“The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup is delighted to support the Donnybrook Regional Tourism Association,” explained Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup CEO, Ben Rose.

“Attaining ATAP Accreditation will place Donnybrook Visitors Centre in a stronger position to be innovative in their approach to marketing and the delivery of tourism services in the region,” continued Mr Rose.

Accreditation was made possible via Round 2 of the Regional Visitor Centre Sustainability Grant Program, which is supported through the Royalties for Regions funding program. The DRTA would like to acknowledge Tourism WA for their support and assistance throughout this process.
