Donnybrook Revitalisation Project

HAVE YOUR SAY

Through the Royalties for Regions program, the Shire has been successful in securing $2,000,000 of project funds towards revitalising the precinct containing the dilapidated Goods Shed in the Donnybrook Town Centre.

The project will be approached in two separate stages with Stage 1 being for the refurbishment and possible extension of the ‘Goods Shed’ in the Railway Heritage Precinct in Donnybrook to create a historical interpretive centre and the development of the adjacent vacant land as a high quality precinct inclusive of landscaping, a significant public art piece, and pedestrian linkages to neighbouring facilities including the Apple Fun Park and the Donnybrook main street.  To guide the future development of the project the Shire will be preparing a Master Plan, which will be informed through a process of public and stakeholder consultation.

To guide the future development of the precinct the Shire is seeking your feedback, ideas and innovations towards this revitalisation project. In doing so we will be focusing on five main concepts as follows:

1.  Options for the refurbishment of the Goods Shed;
2. Public Space and Landscaping;
3. Pedestrian Connections;
4. Public Art; and
5. Possible temporary use of land identified for Stage 2.

There are 12 questions in this survey which is expected to take you approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Alternatively if you may send through your submissions to shire@donnybrook.wa.gov.au

The consultation period ends Sunday 11 August 2019 at 10pm.
