Proposed upgrade to Collins Street, Donnybrook

The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup has been successful in securing 2017/18 Black Spot funding for an upgrade to Collins Street, between the intersections of Reserve Street and Victory Lane, Donnybrook.

The proposed works include additional footpaths, upgraded pedestrian crossing points and street lighting.

Works are expected to commence late January 2018 and completed by the end of April 2018. The works will be programmed not to impact on the Donnybrook Apple Festival.

Advice of Works November 2017

ADVICE OF SHIRE WORKS – NOVEMBER 2017

The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup advises that the following works are in progress or programmed to commence in the near future.  Please note all works are subject to weather conditions, therefore dates may change.

TREVENA ROAD, QUEENWOOD – Gravel re-sheeting along sections of road.
Works scheduled to take place November 2017

GRIMWADE ROAD, GRIMWADE – Sealing & resheeting on various sections of road.
Works scheduled to take place November 2017

DONNYBROOK CCTV PROJECT – Upgrade to existing CCTV network.
Works commencing at Apple Fun Park in early November & progressing to other locations within the Donnybrook CBD

MAIN ROADS WA – Brookhampton Road.
Main Roads WA are currently undertaking maintenance repairs to Bridge 3622 on Brookhampton Rd (just north of the Thomson Brook Rd intersection).

MAIN ROADS WA – South West Highway/Cundinup-Kirup intersection.
Main Roads WA are currently conducting upgrade works on South West Highway south of Kirup. The works will involve lengthening of the existing northbound overtaking lane.

Hours of operation are normally between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.  Works will be clearly signed and you are requested to exercise due care when travelling near or through these areas.  Delays are expected to be minimal.  Should you have any further enquiries, please contact Council’s Works & Services Department on 9780 4209.
