Advice of Shire Works – June 2018

The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup advises that the following works are in progress or programmed to commence in the near future.  Please note all works are subject to weather conditions, therefore dates may change.

COLLINS STREET, DONNYBROOK – Road reconstruction and installation of paths. Works have commenced and will continue through to May 2018; Traffic management will be in place.

PRESTON RIVER FORESHORE, DONNYBROOK – Installation of solar light towers. Works scheduled to take place in June 2018.

DONNYBROOK, KIRUP & BALINGUP TOWNSITES – Various townscape works. Works scheduled to take place throughout the remainder of 2017/18 FY.

SHIRE ROADS MAINTENANCE – Our works crew will be undertaking maintenance on open drains and culverts on various roads throughout the Shire to the end of June.

DAWSON ROAD (SOUTH OF BREMER LANE), BEELERUP – Road will be closed for a maximum of four weeks to allow for private works to upgrade the road to a sealed standard. Residents within these works will receive further notification.

Hours of operation are normally between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.  Works will be clearly signed and you are requested to exercise due care when travelling near or through these areas.  Delays are expected to be minimal.  Should you have any further enquiries, please contact Council’s Works & Services Department on 9780 4209.

Upgrade to Collins Street, Donnybrook

Upgrade to Collins Street, Donnybrook

The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup has been successful in securing 2017/18 Black Spot funding for an upgrade to Collins Street, between the intersections of Reserve Street and Victory Lane, Donnybrook.

The works include additional footpaths, upgraded pedestrian crossing points and street lighting.

Works have now commenced and will continue for approximately 6 weeks. Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
