The Open Day is shaping up to be a fabulous day with a range of interesting activities and entertainment for the whole family!

A highlight this year will be ABC Radio’s live outdoor broadcast from the Centre! Join us while we host Peter Barr in the foyer as he broadcasts the Morning Show from 10am – 11am. Peter will be interviewing local personalities as well as covering the latest current affairs, news, local information and entertainment from Donnybrook and the South West of WA.

However, the day kick starts at 6am with an early morning swim at your own pace, or perhaps you’d like to really get the heart pumping in a ‘Spin-in-Sanity’ cycling fitness class.

At a more leisurely hour, physiotherapist Judy Bishop’s popular Aqua Rhythm session commences at 8.30am in the pool. You’re welcome to join in the action, or just sit and watch this time round.

At 9am you can come along to the Circuit Gym session – an all over muscle tone and cardio fitness workout! All of the Centre’s fitness classes are open to beginners, and you’ll realise that the hardest part is mustering the motivation to get started.

From 9.30am – 11.30am join us in the foyer while ABC Radio broadcast live from the Centre. Meet Peter Barr and the crew from ABC Radio and see what happens behind the scene!

There’s a free morning tea, entertainment and live interviews. Donnybrook District High School band will take to the stage at 10.15am with a fabulous line up of live music!

And, if you’d like to have a look around, take a tour or just have a few questions, the staff and fitness instructors are available between 10am – 12noon!

Nutritionist, Deb Brealey, Senior Health Promotion Officer with the WA Country Health Service – South West will be here between 10.45am – 11.15am to talk all things health & nutrition.

Between 3.30pm – 4.30pm the Centre will host an all-ages pool party. Bring your swim gear and join in the fun in the pool with games and activities.

From 4.45pm – 5.30pm the Junior Swim Club takes to the pool. New members are welcome to have a go!

There’s a great membership special available and you could win a 3-month Gold Pass Membership

Centre Manager, Jill McLean explained that “the Centre is looking fresh and fabulous after the recent redevelopment. We have continued to expand to the range fitness programs and gym equipment in recent years and we’re happy to assist anyone who’s interested in getting fit especially those who just want to get started.”

The highlight of the day for local kids will undoubtedly be the Roller Disco! The theme is – ‘Black Friday’ and there’ll be free give aways on the night!
