Along with VC Mitchell Park, Egan Park is one of the major hubs of outdoor activity in Donnybrook. The facility accomodates competitive and social sporting fixtures, as well as training sessions, for local Cricket, Netball and Hockey clubs.
The facility also hosts multiple community activites, including the biannual Donnybrook Apple Festival and annual Community Christmas Fair.

The sports ground incorporates a reticulated oval 180m x 140m with grass wicket, and a club house with kitchen, shower and toilet facilities available.
A rodeo arena, toilet block open to the public, and multiple floodlit asphalt netball/hockey courts with a small club room are also located at Egan Park.
