Q. What are the prohibited burning times within the Shire of Donnybrook/Balingup?
A. Generally, a total fire ban is in place annually between mid December and mid March of the following year. No fires are to be lit during this period. Restricted burning times are generally six weeks prior to and six weeks following the total fire ban period. Permits to burn are required for the whole of the restricted burning period and can be obtained from the Area Fire Control Officers. For clarification of dates, which are subject to change, please contact the Shire office prior to carrying out any burning.
