It has a total resident population of 4741 persons, which has increased by 11.4% in the past decade. There are three main town sites within the Shire: Donnybrook, Kirup & Balingup. Donnybrook is the largest of the towns with a population of 2370 people. ClimateDonnybrook has a mild climate with an average rainfall of 984mm per annum. The area enjoys warm summers and cool, wet winters.
